Career Summary

One of the unquestioned stars of the modern era and a player who notched up a number of individual records, including the all-time top try-scorer and Australia's most capped player.

David Campese, or 'Campo', played 101 times in the yellow and green jumper of Australia, scoring 64 tries and was one of the most charismatic players to ever play the game.

His 101st and final Test came against Wales at The Arms Park in December 1996 which resulted in a comfortable Wallaby victory by 28-19.

Greatest Moment

Perhaps his greatest moments came during the 1991 Rugby World Cup when he was undoubtedly the player of the tournament, playing a huge role in taking the Wallabies to glory.

Interesting Facts

The first player ever to reach 50 Test tries, against South Africa in 1992, he played his 100th Test match in the win over Italy in the Plebiscito Stadium in Padua, just a 30 minute drive from where his Italian father was born.
